Whether your job requires physical labor or sitting at a desk, pain is frequently the by-product of a professional life. And when pain is sever enough to keep you out of work, it does more than impact your ability to earn a living. It can also affect your ability to perform household activities and participate in the many other activities you would otherwise enjoy. Now you can get help with PMPMA. We can effectively reduce or eliminate pain associated with many work injuries including:
• Back pain
• Neck pain
• Herniated discs
• Repetitive stress disorders
• Orthopedic injuries
• Hip/shoulder/knee pain • Sacroiliac joint pain
• Carpal tunnel syndrome
• Muscle strains and sprains
At PMPMA, our board-certified and fellowship-trained Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians work together with physical and occupational therapists and behavioral health practitioners to help manage your pain. Our health care providers also work closely with case managers, insurance carriers, and employers in order to streamline the process.
Our goal is to assess patients with work-related injuries as soon as possible so the patient and the employer do not lose valuable time waiting for the appropriate treatment. We then implement conservative or non-surgical treatments including medical management, physical and occupational therapy, interventional spine and joint procedures, and behavioral health that may help avoid costly or unnecessary surgeries. Our treatment plants are tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient and geared towards relieving the pain so you can get back to work and back to your life.
In addition, PMPMA offers the following diagnostics and services that are instrumental to fast tracking an injured worker.
- Independent Medical Examinations
- Return-to-Work Determinations
- Impairment and Disability Evaluations
- EMG’s (Electromyography)
- Diagnostic Discography
Our promise to you…
Even if we cannot eliminate a worker’s pain entirely, our goal is to reduce it to the point where an individual is able to return to function safely, quickly, and productively. Our team of providers at PMPMA will work together to make sure an injured worker receives all the necessary treatment for a speedy return to work.
In addition, we have accredited ambulatory surgery centers and on-site pharmacy for our Workers’ Compensation patients. This saves patients from having to make multiple trips to various providers. It saves time and expense for injured employees and employers because we can deliver treatment, minimally invasive interventional procedures, and prescription medications more economically.
We are unique in that we are in constant touch with the patient’s insurance company, their adjuster, and/or case manager by our on-site Workers’ Compensation Liaison. This enhances our ability in providing the patient with the diagnostics and treatment that they may need. We have a network of specialists to which we refer for consultations and diagnostic testing that is beyond our scope of practice.
